Born into a military family, Beef (Aaron Arseo) spent his childhood moving from place to place following his father who was a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force. Beef draws his experience from living in California then moving through Spain, England, Texas, and then finally settling in St. Louis Missouri. This is where he molded his own unique hip hop sound drawing from influences such as Jay-Z, Notorious BIG, Kanye West and the local St. Louis hip hop scene. His music can be described as a fuse between east coast flow with a St. Louis swagger creating a unique Midwest hip hop sound. As an independent artist he has been releasing mix tape singles since 2002 with the help of his brother Albanego ?Son? Arseo who does most of his production and recording. Together they?ve been hitting the St. Louis hip hop scene in an attempt to gain local and national exposure. His recent single ?I?m So Fresh? has been creating a great deal of local buzz and has received some airplay on radio stations as far as Dallas. Beef is currently working on a new mix tape titled ?Rough Draft? which he hopes to release later this year hoping to establish more of a name for himself in the St. Louis hip hop scene.
