I'm actually my own band :) I sequence music to accompany myself, usually with me playing an acoustic instrument and singing for the final mix.Have you performed in front of an audience?I only play live - I've never played dead :)
Your musical influences
I enjoy a wide variety of music, and particularly enjoy acoustic music. That said, you can have a lot of fun with electronics, too. What equipment do you use?
I use Garritan Personal Orchestra for some of the sequenced instrument sounds. I also use a number of soundfonts for those, too. For my acoustic work, I use Taylor and Lowden guitars. I have a cheap mandocello that I "play at" and is a lot of fun for the different timbre and versatility. I also have some homemade instruments that I use: hammered dulcimer, bowed psaltery, and bodhran. Pennywhistles are Howard (low D), Dixon High D, and assorted less expensive Walton, Generation, and Susato whistles. For my basses, I use a Rogue 5-Pro (fretted) which I built a new body for (mahogany and flamed purpleheart - yummy!) and a Rogue viola which I defretted and added an LR Baggs Element pickup to, making a really versatile bass stable with just two instruments.Anything else?
I use Notation Composer (www.notation.com) for putting together my music. I can use it to sequence the parts I can't play, and to work up the printed parts for those I do play acoustically. It totally rocks! You can check out the features of Composer at http://www.notation.com/NotationComposer.php. Use it to check out the sheet music for some of my songs on the Notation Users Community Forum at http://www.notation.com/Forum.htm. You can also use it to view and play the sheet music for any midi file. You can use it to create your own music files like I've done. Check it out at http://www.notation.com/Download.php for a free 30 day trial download.Christmas

Thanks for the message board e-mail.Yours is the first. The rap version of Psalm 23 is cool. You are a lady of many skills.
FredHey what's up! I listened to your Psalm 23 rap. It was knda cool to hear tyhat super old school type beat and rap style. Thats my only recommendation that you chnge it to Old School subgenre instead of bass rap.I'm listening to "Beanfield Winter" and it is beautiful. I have been playing about with trying to capture the feel of various settings and experiences and moods, and your recordings give me a higher benchmark.
Also, having just begun to experiment with recording, I've got to add that your recording is almost as impressive as your music!Just listening to 'Carol of the bells' on your acoustic guitar. Great playing there. Awesome stuff. I have a great deal of Acoustic instrumentation in my music! Keep up the great work! All comments (6)

Hi Cherry, Just listened to all your songs. I think the first one (Carol of the Bells) is very beatiful, but also the Celtic Mode, and Communion Aire was good.
