Story behind the song
Rock/ Classic Rock - There is an old saying which states “If the shoe fits wear it”. In the beginning of this song it has a most disgusting thing. A smooth pastor who has been trained by men in speech and mannerism by bible school, I call them Pharisee schools. He has his degrees and his own ideas that have been taught and handed down to him by the ways of men. Good intentions but deadly to the body of Christ. Our church systems now a days just spawn this kind of stuff because they have a structure that is worldly, they are run like corporations that advance you thru having diplomas and if you are strong in mind and ambitious the more you achieve the more you advance. The world says if you have a certificate of achievement you can minister. Do you see this anywhere in scripture??? Are we ordained by men or God??? Can we just let God Be God and let Him have His rightful place in the body as head. 1 Corinthians 2 Paul's Reliance upon the Spirit 1. And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4. and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5. so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. International English Bible 4. I didn't use the words of educated men to persuade people. Instead, I preached the message. I showed that it was backed up by the Spirit and real power. If the Lords hates the work of the Nicolaitans, it would be a good thing to know what that is. NAS Revelation 2:6 Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. -- International English Revelation 2:15 In the same way, you have some people there who are also holding onto the teaching of the Nicolaitans. -- International English Revelation 2:16 So, change your hearts! If you don't, I will come soon. I will make war against them with the sword which comes from my mouth. International English Revelation 2:17 The person who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. I will give some of the hidden manna to the person who conquers........... There is a whole message here in these verses of scripture. The modern day church has adopted the structure of the Nicolaitians and according to scripture God hates it. Why??? Because it prevents His body from becoming a mature body. In the next verse there are people who just won't let go of this false structure, stubborn ones like the Pharisees of old who will not change there traditions to line up with Gods traditions and ways. In the next verse it says if you don't let go and change your mind, the Lord will make war and come with the sword of His mouth which are the prophets in His Body who will speak out against it. The next verse says that His people should listen because they do have ears to hear the Spirit of God and if they obey and conquer this dilemma the Lord will give of the hidden food that is hidden from the Nicolaitans and their worldly church structure because of their unbelief. You will find life instead of death because the rebellious live in a parched land. Oh Body of Christ wake up! Why do you submit to leaders who only care for themselves? Why do you submit to there dreams and visions inspired by pride and not the Lord? Why do you submit to one man pastors or even a group of men who are not moving toward the structure presented in 1 Cor. 14:26-40??? This is were all may prophecy and exercise the spiritual gifts that God has given each member and all may minister instead of a select group. God wants His Body to come forth in maturity, every individual hearing and moving in God. I am not talking anarchy here. God is well able to keep and perfect and keep order in His body. He does not need puny man to try and keep it for Him. Ananias with his wife Sapphira is a great example of that.
