I'm a progressive metal solo artist, as well as an eclectic performer of everything from Sinatra to Sabbath. I like it all, but my writing has typically been progressive or power metal with science fiction themes. "Ancient Signs", "Sea of Stars", and "Gods and Machines" represent my prog-power metal leanings.
Lately, however, I've been writing old 40s through 60s style classic jazz vocal material. "Dreamland", "Holiday of Love", and "Little Miracles" are original songs of mine that represent these styles.
I wrote, played, and sang everything on every song on this page.
After a long hiatus, I've been playing live again around the Los Angeles area.
I do a one-man show, billed under my own name, where I can play/sing everything from old jazz classics to thrash metal, and anything in between. I tailor the music to the audience for each show, but most audiences enjoy the variety.
Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Ronnie James Dio, Ella, Jorn Lande, Geoff Tate, Russell Allen, Symphony-X, Paul Gilbert, Racer-X, Ray Charles, Atma Anur, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Thomas Dolby, Peter Gabriel, Kansas, Queen, David Bowie ... I could go go on, but basically anybody with great voices/phrasing.
Live, I use an SM-58 for voice, a TC-Helicon Harmony GX, a Schecter Hellrasier C-8 LTD guitar, and an iPad running AmpKit+, all running into either a portable PA, or a larger PA system for the bigger gigs.
