GALLEON is an Atlanta-based musical group which is making music great again and steadfastly believes life is too short to settle for ordinary music. Comprised of Elliott & June Michaels and William Easterling, and now seeking other musicians to complete their sound, this electric outfit plays a variety of tasteful, well-crafted original rock, folk-rock, and modern country songs; and performing it all with a very high level of professionalism and our own unique and special style. Thus, the band makes music that sails above and beyond all the rest!
The chemistry and camaraderie among musical partners William, June, and Elliott is most evident in Galleon's cohesive and assertive sound, imposing stage presence, and commanding performance. The group appears often at Atlanta-area clubs and concert events, and they now seek other well-qualified musicians (bass, drums, lead guitar, saxophone) to complete their sound as they look forward to playing their special brand of music throughout the Southeastern United States now that the virus crisis has blown out to sea. Don't you miss the boat ... welcome aboard GALLEON!
SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC AND ARTISTIC FREEDOM ... FIGHT CENSORSHIP AND BOYCOTT PAY-TO-PLAY!!!
GALLEON has been together in one form or another since winter 1994, when transplanted New York/Los Angeles musician Elliott Michaels decided to buckle down and form a band he could truly call his own. Michaels has been lucky and grateful to work with many talented musicians in Galleon over its long existence, and is now looking to develop its strongest lineup yet so he can take the band into the studio in the near future to make professional recordings of their original songs.
We have appeared at Atlanta-area nightclubs and concerts, mostly for benefit events, which is all fun and fine; but now we are working to "make like a tree and branch out," seeking to play our music throughout the Southeastern United States and earn a respectable living doing so. We are Atlanta's unknown supergroup, the best-kept secret in Georgia music today, and now is the time for us to take our brand public in a big way!
Anything and everything from Sinatra, Martin & Davis to Emerson, Lake & Palmer to Tony Orlando & Dawn; from the Allman Brothers to the Osmond Brothers; from Black Sabbath to Blake Shelton; from the Beatles to the Lennon Sisters; from Cream to the Supremes; from Robin Trower to Barry Manilow; from the Captain & Tenille to Captain Beyond; from George Jones to George Lynch! But our music, sound and style are our own and no one else's ... and we wish to be judged on the quality of our music and our performances, NOT ON OUR LOOKS!
We rock hard and boldly, but we're not afraid to add acoustic instrumentation when appropriate. A little variety is not a bad thing as long as you have the talent to make it work!
Varies depending on the size of the venue we're booked to play.

Always do what you can to protect and strengthen our all-too-fragile First-Amendment right of freedom of expression. Oppose censorship at every turn!
Always be what YOU want to be and don't let anyone else tell you what to be, what to believe, or how to feel.
Always be true to yourself, which is not to be confused with the meaningless pseudo-philosophy "be yourself."
FEELINGS ARE NEVER WRONG. FEELINGS AREN'T ABOUT RIGHT AND WRONG. YOU FEEL THE WAY YOU FEEL AND NO ONE ELSE CAN OR SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT TO FEEL OR HOW TO FEEL!
