Story behind the song
Born Hilo Hawaii 1950, left Haleiwa, Oahu 1968 for California. Live in Loves
Park, IL. Half Hawaiian sister still there with two daughters. Started mechanical design business 9 yrs ago in Northern IL. Mother sent "slack key Masters" CD for X-mass two years ago and I loved it-- Then realized I hadn't played music (guitar) for over 10 years. Sold business Dec/05 and Started back playing again (Ki Ho'alu this time) in Nov '05. I have passion for music again. Played Hard rock and top forty music in four diff bands for about 10 years and dabbled in classical guitar at home since the age of 26...Than is when I bought the guitar I used to record this song: A 75' Alvarez Yairi CY-140.
