I've got some new equipment, yall!! ...And I'm expecting more later this year (I plan to buy the Roland VG-99 when it becomes available, then a real Gibson Les Paul, hopefully, a Custom).
Still, though, my band is right now basically just me, a male singer who drops by occaisionally (Jason Perch),a Fender Player's Deluxe Strat, a Roland GR20 and a Digitech GNX 3000. I use a TASCAM FW-1082 as an Audio/Midi interface and control surface for the heart of my studio, the DAW SONAR 6 Producer Edition, on my new computer, assembled by Dell, a quadcore QX6700 with dual nVidia Series 8800 GTX's and 4 gigs of RAM. I use this badass system for all my comosing and lyric writing, and a few vocals. I mix a little classic rock, traditional music from the british isles (I'm a Renassaince Festival frequenter), and heavy metal. Everything I write, even if it has bells and tin whistles in it, has a definite edge. The sound I'm going for is something all at once dark and heavy, but also with a light feminine touch.
Glam Rock Big Hair band- Rocket Fuel
Classic Rock house band at Sugar Shack Then I found MIDI and started writing my own stuff and got out of the live scene until I joined a classic rock dance band in the Coffee Co. area. I played with them for a while. I joined up with The Renegade Gypsies in Nashville in 2003 for a while. I've played with several no-name jam groups since then, and did a several month-long stint with the Christian Rock band First Light in 2005. In 2006, I played with the classic rock/heavy metal band Sheer. Right now, I'm looking for a band of like-minded individuals to play my originals, and to concentrate on pagan Worship music and hymns. I have gigs already lined up- anyone who wants to do this, contact me at my regular e-mail address (ishtar@cafes.net).
Sadly, I'm alone again... but at least, I'm writing now, and my current project is a rock and roll instrumental version of Pictures at an Exhibition, so if you like the ELP version, I'm sure you'll like this one.
I used to play live with several bands in Nashville. I have played in everything from metal and thrash bands to Christian Rock bands (no, I do NOT see a contradiction, I LOVE Christian Rock and Bluegrass Gospel music, and feel a deep kinship with anyone else who is making music to glorify the spiritual world, no matter WHAT their actual religion). I have played lead guitar with many of singer/songwriters here in the Nashville area who were out there trying to get their stuff heard. Many of them have been successful. I have also sat in as a guest with and have several deep and satisfying friendships with members of several Big Name Acts, but I don't like to brag, so I won't I have played in many successful cover/dance band here in the Shelbyville/Tullahoma as well as the Nashville TN area for many years. Yeah, we made money and had great fun, but now I'm ready to do my own thing.
NOTE: I'm looking to work with any Drummers, Bass Players, Keyboardist and female (or even maybe male) singers in the Nashville/Murfreesboro/Shelbyville area. Drop me a line at my regular email address (under my GamerLady profile) if you're interested!!
Loreena McKinnett, Jethro Tull, Rush, King Crimson, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Janice Joplin, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Neil Young, Joan Baez, Melissa Etheridge, Stevie Nicks, Jimi Hendrix, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio, Lita Ford, The Chieftains, The Who, any traditional Celtic music, and Ozzy (mainly from Blizzard of to Bark At, but there's a few albums after those) Oh, and I used to be into Mannheim Steamroller (Chip Davis) a lot. I also like a lot of classical, the more baroque the better. Oh, yeah, and I was a die-hard official Deadhead until Jerry died.

Intel 570i SLI mobo w/ overclocked quadcore Intel Xtreme QX6700, twin nVidia 8000 GTXes, 4 gigs RAM, twin Western Digital Raptors in Raid 0, and Windows XP 32-bit (I know, I know, the 32 bit edition will never use all 4 gigs of RAM, but I'm still better off than with just 2 gigs, but when I get around to it I'm going to upgrade to Vista 64-bit).
I'm looking for any like minded people (especially other women) who want to help me take this stuff to the stage!!! For I live sound, I would probably go for a more raw, metal-edged sound. If you're a sister/brother Witch and a musician, gimme a holler! If you like what you hear, gimme a holler then, too.
