Story behind the song
We had a woman who attended our church who was a jazz singer with an incredible voice. I wrote this song to sing as a duet with her but we never sang it together. This duet is with my dear friend Betsy Fee, with whom I have been singing for years. I love the way our voices blend and the way we tend to think alike musically! I hope you enjoy this.
1. I know that I know that I know that I’m saved.
My life has been bought by the price that He paid.
I know that I know that I know that I’m free,
Because He did first love me
2. I know that I know that there’s joy in my heart
I know I’m forgiven and each days a new start
I know that I know that this peace that He gives
Forever in me will live.
I know there’s no where else to find a love like this
This love that fills my soul
Abounding in grace and compassion and hope
It’s a love I could never resist.
3. I know that I know that my life has been changed
My values and goals have been all rearranged
I know that His Spirit is growing in me
A love for the world to see
4. I know that I know that I know He’s the King
The sacrifice of my life I will bring.
I know that I know that I know He is Lord
The sanctified living word
