Headwork are definitely musicians with a 'No Limit' policy! They have a wide variation of influences, which gives them the space to be openly expressive. This is what enables them to produce the stirring rifts which have become Headwork's trademark sound.
So what does this all add up to? Well, in short... Catchy original rifts, combined with a dark commercial undertone, this best describes Headwork's music.
In 1991 a group of musicians hacked off with a stagnant and apathetic music scene, decided that they'd had enough and were driven to embark on a mission to stamp out musical mediocrity.
Headwork members Jay Porter, and Dean Woodington split from their previous band, and teamed up with bass guitarist Andy Clarke. However it was not until the year of 1994 that saw the introduction of singer/song writer Tony Dawe, adding a new dimension to this musical dynamic force.
Gaining popularity amongst an increasing global audience prompted the band in 1998 to launch an official website to satisfy the growing demand for their material.
Over time Headwork have produced an impressive portfolio of songs. Earning them recognition from well-known artists such as Jean-Jacques Burnel, and Paul Roberts of The Stranglers.
