Syntax Error is an experimental music and media project based in Toronto, Canada. They use whatever objects, instruments, hardware or software they can find to create their dark industrial grooves. Syntax Error is of the philosophy that the process of writing music is just as important as the music itself. They seek what they can in their environment to underscore the ambient harmony in this chaotic world.
Band/artist history
Isocat began composing electronic music in 1993 with the aid of his macintosh computer and opcode's Studio Vision Pro sequencing software. Originally Isocat simply wanted to have some drum beats to practice bass too, but quickly became addicted to the possibilities electronic composition offered. In early 2000, Isocat began playing with the Jaff. His mathematical approach to composition and unethical bass riffs egnited a spark and Syntax Error was born.
