Plant a Fruitful Walking Stick

Mr. Quayle's anthem for the scorned and unappreciated...
Our music draws it's inspiration from Mr. A. Quayle's wonderful art. You can see some of his pictures at www.angelfire.com/ak5/siltfish You'll need to persevere through all the pop-ups and turn to the gallery page for that. That site is designed to give an insight into what Silt Fish is all about, so I refer you to those pages for more details.
Band/artist history
The story began in the distant past, in a place called Chancet Wood, a small expanse of wilderness on the edge of Sheffield. Undeterred by our inability to perform the simplest of tasks, we embarked upon an ambitious musical adventure. Initially inspired by a variety of sources, ranging from René Magritte to Ken Dodd, we became a pop group.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
AK: We do not play live, ours is home-made music. There aren't enough of us to play this kind of stuff live, we'd need to hire an orchestra-sized band of musicians who'd do exactly what we told them to do. I don't think such a body of people exists.
Your musical influences
AQ: The ‘Black Rider’ by Tom Waits and ‘Monster Walks the Winter Lake’ by David Thomas and the Wooden Birds.
Anything else?
Our first album, "Zabaranda" is available from www.publiceyesore.com . It's very cheap!
