Experimental electronic music from legendary pioneers Michael Serviolo and Christopher Steele.
"...a free-wheeling, far-ranging sonic experiment that's as bizarrely tasty as they come. Utilizing synthetic sound, loops, overdubs, deconstructed and reconstructed samplings, keyboards, percussion, and feedback, they forge a new universe of sound."

Elan has worked together for over 15 years and has released five musical works; Elan, Vlad Hatters Mad Tea Party, Von Weber, Eris Aurora and the Deluge of Soundtracks & Other Voices from the World’s Silent Majority. Elan’s music creates an aural setting similar to soundtrack music but also keeps a humorous and experimental edge.
Elan is made up of Michael Serviolo and Chris Steele who bring varied influences to their project, ranging from the band Kiss to Aphex Twin. Elan is the culmination of years of performing, producing and researching diverse musical genres. Their continued study of composition has lead to new depths of innovation and creativity.
At this time, Elan focuses exclusively on recording.

That’s a secret. Part of the joy of what we do is using gear in non-traditional ways. We enjoy listening to other artists and trying to figure out “how’d they do that?” We would hope that our recordings provide the same challenge for our listeners.
Chris Music, in part, is about discovery. We appreciate people who are interested in actively listening to music. Accordingly, the more we say about the band the more it detracts from the discovery process. This presents a problem in promotion because people tend to have a need to categorize and label. So, as a band we struggle with this because we want people to hear the recordings. The only categories that matter are “I like it” or “I don’t like it.”
