Lately I've been working on recording an EP of a combination of songs that range in style from Americana and Folk to Rock and Folk Rock.
There is no band right now actually. It's just me in my little home studio with a few guitars and microphones and assorted fun instruments.
I'm not playing live again yet, but who knows about the future.
Musical influences for me have been far and wide to include all cultures known and some relatively unknown. From American Rock to ancient Vedic chanting. From Mozart to the music of the streets of Rabat. I love motown, r&b, ethnic music from around the world(Anoushka Shankar blows my mind), rock n roll, swing, country, ancient choral compositions like Hildegard Von Bingen's arrangements, the list never ends.
Martin, Fender, Washburn, Yamaha and Dean guitars, voice, hand percussion and effects percussion. Tibetan and Japanese bowls, crystal bowls, harp and Native American flute. The list goes on. Right now I'm heavily into experimenting with how many different ways a person can use antique electronics in recording. Tubes are so nice. Noisey, but nice.
