Rick is a premium resort and corporate entertainer and indie recording artist that has relocated to the Daytona Beach area after 10 years in Key West. He was also part of the Latin Music movement back in the late 80’s in south Florida. Much of his success has been a spinoff of the Jimmy Buffet movement. Yet, one listen to his album will confirm that the recorded music is different than his, but still regularly appeals to the Parrotheads. He does many other island reggae, country, and calypso cover tunes to!
He just completed another tour to Key West at Sloppy Joes and other venues there during the scheduled Nov. Parrothead convention, his 8th year in a row . He formerly did a 3 year stand at the Marriott Hotel “Casa Marina” in Key West with his trio, performing on the beach and poolside. These players on the Mango Music CD are available for contract in South & central Florida. He has performed solo and with comparable musicians in the Orlando area at venues like Silver Springs, Universal Studios Margaritaville, & Cypress Gardens.
Rick does national class entertainment too and completed a two week gig for the annual Toyota corporate party at the Four Seasons Resort, in Nevis, British West Indies, some work for Cellar Door Productions for and special performances for International Travel Planners in Richmond, Va.. He has written letters of recommendation and high commendations from Maritz travel, and Envision Corp. from Boston. They are some of the finer corporate entertainment brokers in America.
His new CD, Mango Music, promises to augment his career even further with new audience attention, along with monthly name recognition with Attitudes & Lattitudes magazine for a song cut on the Sailing compilation album, and regular national airplay at Sirius Satellite Radio.
