Band/artist history
Once in awhile there is a rainbow in the sky, some stay longer than others. As the upcoming rainbow how did you come about? If you could beat box in my boarding school, you were the boss and if you could rhyme, you had it all. I used to beat box, rhyme and break. I was part of the music class and sometimes we did presentations. I came from writing lyrics of other artist in my school, practicing them and performing them in the presence of my friends. Back then life was music and basketball, we where allowed to stay on the playground until 18h00 and all we did was make music or play ball. I came from free-styling daily with friends, I came from standing on the sofa which I used as a stage to rap for my kid sisters. When I was finished they used to give me air awards. I got motivated to write my own lyrics after comparing myself to other artist and felt like I was better or at least had a chance. I wrote my first demo (Mystery) in a period of a month. But that was back then. When I got to Austria I joined a church and we introduced Christian hip-hop(Gospel Gangsters) and this lead more converts to the church. Sometimes we had 700 attendance and sometimes about a 1000, that was crazy. We moved to the streets (Stephansplatz) and did live performances on the street. Man, the Stephanplatz is no ordinary street, this is a street where more than 10,000 people pass every day, most of them being tourists. We did songs and other members gave tracks to the bystanders. One time there was a 'young and talented' concert by Kimya Label. I enlisted for it and with my friend and brother from my group Gospel Gangster we made another group called Dope Geez. We were nominated as one of the best groups. The organizers arranged concerts for us and introduced us to the public in Vienna. My group consisted of me, my boy Tino and Slada (brother). Everywhere we went turned out to be a success but to me hiphop was something I did because of the love for the music, I wasn't aiming for a career. We made a demo and sold it underground. Our fame rose and we got introduced to radio stations in Vienna to do interviews and songs. When I got back to Belgium I told my crew I would keep representing real hip-hop, but I didn’t because I felt too weak. After some self-motivation I decided the time had come to drop hits songs that would affect the world so i made an amazing album, got honored by the streets, came on Tv, radios, papers and that how i made me Oosie" King of Da West a.k.a Voice of Da Streets (S.O.V) one of the greatest M.c.
