The Illiad is a 6 piece psychedelic pop rock group bringing a swinging 60's British sound to the 21st Century world. With upbeat psychedelia, abstract lyrics and the occasional theatrical 'popera' the group is growing quickly in popularity amongst fans of independent quirky music.
Created by Kyle Pittman (Guitar, Vocals) who recorded many demos by himself before eventually recruiting Andy Cyphert (Lead Guitar, Vocals) to record on the first studio recorded track, 'Rahmed'. Kyle then brought in Kelly Strand (Vocals), Jeff Steiner (Bass), Sean Eaton (Organ), Stanley Null (Percussions).
To debut live this Fall.
Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, The Doors. Psychedelic rock. The 60's. The Mod Culture.
We try to keep it simple for an authentic vintage sound, but there are a few small modern influences in the sound.
