I was born in 1987 in Guantanamo, Cuba. I made a career out of music from a very young age. I started a group called Chocolatinas right after graduation from Instituto Superior de Artes. Later I formed a duo with my brother Miguel-Angel and have won all the competitions where we participated. Over the years we sang in festivals of different music styles (mariachi, salsa, cumbia, bachata, fusión, traditional Cuban son, etc). Our songs are still aired on TV and radio in Cuba. My latest collaboration with Marcel Duvion marked the birth of a new dance music project featuring original upbeat vocal trance.
I sing solo and sometimes collaborate with other bands.
As a child I started singing at age 6 in the children’s choir “Vocecitas de Cristal” directed by the “virtuosa” Antonia Luisa Cabal, high representative of music in Guantanamo.
After starting my singing career I formed a duo with my brother and we participated in many music festivals held in our city. In 2007 we won first prize for interpretation on the National Day of the Mexican Culture. Then began a long series of presentations within our province as radio, television, and other public places. Our music was very well received by the public and music lovers. In 2008 we won the first prize and the prize of popularity in the largest music festival in our province Guantanamo. In 2009 and 2010, for 2 years in a row, we won the people’s choice award in Lili Martinez Griñan Festival, as well as first prize in 2009. As fruit of this collaboration we produced the first CD, “Permiteme Soñar”.
I sing solo and collaborate with other bands.
Instruments: Vocals, guitar, piano, some minor percussion instruments.
I sang in Cuba before moving to Europe. Now I reside in Frauenau (Bayern, Germany). Basically I sing in many places in Czech Republic, Austria and Germany: Brno, Prague, Wien, Salzburg, Berlin, etc - wherever my music takes me. I like performing on stage - this is my life. Sometimes I perform as a singer for Son Caliente, but I also sing solo and collaborate with other groups.
My musical influences are deeply rooted in the latin culture: bachata, salsa, merengue, fusion, Cuban son. Since I moved to Europe I also experiment with the eurodance style and I like it a lot. My favourite artists are many: Ana Barbara, Luis Miguel, Shakira are among them.
My favorite instrument is the guitar, but I can also play keyboard or piano and various latin percussion instruments. For the upcoming tracks we have at our disposal a modern studio in Saalfelden for new recording and production.
