Feluka Rai Dub
formed in 2003 and have been gigging locally in Leeds and more recently at festivals around England. We play Rai which is a North African music with a wide range of beats and melodies including Reggae, Blues and Latin. We are not a world music band as such but more of a Fusion of Multicultural Grooves.We headlined two years running on the Unity world stage and we have supported bands such as The Peat Bog Fairies, Ian Browns percussionist and Chumbawumba. We have also played at The Moor Music festival in Ilkley,this summer and at the band stand in Whitby.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
There is more History than this but I am gonna be brief. Feluka formed in 2003 and have been gigging locally in Leeds and more recently at festivals around England. Feluka are Julian, Moe, John, Rob and James.And our lovely sound engineer Sam.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live in leeds England and all over the country.We love playing live because everytime we do, we get everybody going in a dancy high spirit with a sense of purpose.Every gig is a special moment.

Latin, arabic, rai, reggea, Manu Ciao, Khaled and more...
What equipment do you use?
drum-kit, bass. guitar, keyboard, saxophone. Derbouka, djembe, karkabou.
