Charles W - T Consaul

Charles W - T Consaul

In the words of James Taylor, It's me and my guitar. Always in the same mood! Then again, maybe my guitar is just humoring me - sigh -

55 Chevy

It's dangerous to compare men with Antiques. Antiques last a lot longer!

A Little Bit Selfish

There's always some woman willing to save me from myself. Wish I had the sense to take one up on the offer a long time ago.

Just me, I'm an old Folksinger that still plays out once in a blue moon. Thank you for listening to my primitive acoustic songs. I am a retired Army Bandsman, a certified Wall Wacker, and am currently a teacher. Next time I retire I am going back into Folksinging. It's the perfect occupation really, no hope of fame and fortune and definately keeps me humble. Folksinging just naturally makes me a better person I s'pose.
Band/artist history
I used to be a street singer in San Fransisco, did the Canadian Folk circuit (if you can call it that) for a few years, played behind a lot of people that you might have even heard of for awhile, and played guitar for the Army! (It's a silly job but somebody had to do it)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I'll play anywhere that will hold one middle aged lazy folksinger and a guitar and a mandolin or a banjo or two. The best place I've played in while was the Twisted Vine in Silver City. The place has a great atmosphere and the hotel is within walking distance.
Your musical influences
James Taylor, Gordon Bok, Stan and Garnet Rogers, Donny Sponchia, Kris Kristofferson, David Wilcox, Eric Bogle, Ian Tyson, Tom Paxton, Ed McCurdy, Bonnie Raitt, Judee Sill, Warren Zevon, Hoyt Axton, Roger Miller, etc.
What equipment do you use?
I used to yell into my wife's monitor because it had a built in speaker. Now I use a seperate speaker and play directly into my computer using a freeware program called FatRock Studio.
Anything else?
If you like my little songs, plese share them with as many people as you can. I don't plan on getting famous until long after I am dead, and even that goal is going to take centuries unless you help!
