Beyond Measure is a hip hop group out of Massachusetts that consists of members Tap Out, DJ Turnament and King Author. We also work with another group called the Rams which consists of members Fine Print, I.D. and Adept. When both groups form we're the Cadets. We also started a label called 4Th Realm entertainment
The story of the forming of Beyond Measure was an epic with in itself. A lot of the details will be left out do to some of the parties invloved. King Author had already been part of a group with two other memebrs for several years predating Beyond Measure. At some point Tap Out , who was Author's rival, got down with that group. Tap, Author and the rest were doing street ciphers, local battles, and radio appearances. The group had a falling out as conflicts of interest came to play and the future for Author and Tap Out was uncertain. The two would later decide they would continue regardless to form a new label and a group. The group that was formed was Beyond Measure and the label was 4th Realm Entertaiment. The group needed a dj in the group so we decided to put down DJ Turnamment for the live shows. They also formed a an alliance with a local group that recorded at the Camelot studio. This Group was the R.A.M.S(ID, Fine print and Adept) who combined with Beyond measure formed the C.A.D.E.T.S.. The label hopes to become a formidable force for years to come............
We've performed live but not anything that was our show specifically. Performing is sick. There is a rush that can not be replicated
Kool G Rap, KRS, Ice Cube, Gang Starr, Beatnuts, Pete Rock, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, The Wu, Canibus, Killah Priest, Big Pun, EPMD, A Tribe Called Quest, Chino XL, Ras Kass, Redman and we also influence ourselves
Not a lot since we're broke as fuck but we use shit like the MPC 2000, Acid, and a pair of Technics turntables.
