No band, just me DJ Apollo a.k.a. Apollo Belladona. Started producing and deejaying back in early '88.
Always loved music from day dot and have always wanted to be involved in it.
The market for Hip Hop in the UK is virtually non existant, so I'm looking to hook up production for overseas artists. So get at me if ya need some beats.
No live performances yet, just concentrating on production.
Ah man! There's so many. Definately Ced G of Ultramagnetic MC's. He made me think out of the circumferance of simplicity in production, Unorthadox arrangements and funky drum patterns.
Tone Love of Tuff Crew was an excellent drum programmer and beat chopper (My Part of Town, Hittin' Hard Balls).
Marley Marl is a genius.
As for funk and soul artists, I'm more influence by individual tracks rather than the artists whole catalogue. Herbie Hancock's Death Wish o.s.t., Bob James, Eddie Kendricks, Chic, Eddie Henderson, etc...
