January 2003 witnessed the rise of a band called Chaos Theory. Living up to their name, they have a reputation of creating chaos and disorder wherever they play. The outfit is one volatile mix of crunchy music doubled with an insane stage act, fit to drive the crowd in a mad frenzy.
Initially, they had to go through the usual ups and downs (Read: KTs, Band Name, Parents Line Up changes et al), but have always managed to come back with a renewed punch. They started off their crusade at “Stringed Sanity” at Sardar Patel College, where they took top honors and individual prizes for Vocals, Drums and Bass. Since then there has been no looking back. Their success stories include PIT, RAIT and numerous others where chaos has prevailed.
The turning point in the bands career was when they played at the prestigious “INDEPENDENCE ROCK” in August 2003, making them the youngest band (roughly 6 months old) to grace the stage. They are one of the biggest bands in the scene right now with a considerable and a loyal fan-base. Their originals too are something that can be a point of discussion all together. “Psychedelic Dream” being one of their most famous and loved song, the song is also featured in a “Metal Compilation” to be released by Kidanthrem Records, U.S.A.
The band, with its refreshed lineup is a treat to watch. Neeraj on drums and Srinivas on bass provide a powerful backing to the guitars (Shyam and Sandeep) and the vocals (Prasad). They look more focused at setting the stage on fire at this point of time than ever before. So come, be part of the Chaos.
