Cosmonauttransfer is the name of my electronic group, which is myself and any other collaboraters, such as my friend Nick Langley who played audio generator at a live gig I played in Brighton in 2007. Nick and Richard Armstrong-Cripps will hopefully be helping out live and in the studio to bring you plenty of cosmic music.
Cosmonauttransfer is the name of my electronic group, which is myself and any other collaboraters, such as my friend Nick Langley who played audio generator at a live gig I played in Brighton in 2007. It came into being at that gig and is now my main musical project
since the demise of Darkhalf, previous band I was in which has now split.
I do intend to release some older Darkhalf material from the time when it was just myself as a Cosmonauttransfer archive. Anyone interested in Darkhalf tracks from when it was a band can visit www.darkhalf.org, or contact me. Cosmonauttransfer is also a space music orientated band but has a wide range of influences from across the ambient, soundscape,
Berlin school genres.
Only occasionally so far but I'm always up for it and also in collaboration with other musicians
so long as they like improvisation.
Radio Massacre International, Hawkwind, Tangerine Dream (particularly 1970 to 1977), Brian Eno, Thomas Koner, BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Cluster, Harmonia,
Ian Bodddy, Hz, Coil, Ligeti, Penderecki, Howard Shore, Jerry Goldsmith, Robert Fripp,
early Klaus Schulze, Harvey Bainbridge, and horror and scifi soundtracks.
Carillon Music PC, Audio Generators, Yamaha SY85, Squire Strat guitar, Ebow, minikorg 700s,
bass guitar, found sound.
My favourite plugins and music apps are Ableton Live intro, Reactor, Krishna Synth, Wusikstation, Gmedia Mtron, and Paulstretch.
I hope you enjoy my music and feel free to contact me over any musical matters.
