No More Sad Songs

I found this song on a cassette. I transferred it to Digital using a boombox to my PC. It was originally recorded on a 4 Track Portastudio.
I've been a all round guitarist, singer songwriter for over 35 years now. In September of 2000, I was disabled in a near fatal automobile accident. I lost the ability to use my left hand. I could no longer play, sing, write or walk. After 7 year the use of my left hand suddenly came back. I can also walk a bit with help. I am just starting to play again, but there won't be anything new for awhile. I am going to clean up some old recordings I made from the 70s to the 90s. I will submit them here as a history of my life in music. I hope you like them. Thank you all so much. I love you all, Wayne, (Blueslogic) (2003)
Band/artist history
All my recorded music I have done by myself. All you will hear at this point is music recorded on cassette machines.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I haven't played live since 1989.
Your musical influences
This is such a hard question. The first Band with a record I saw in a High School cafeteria. They were the Yardbirds. They blew me away. I loved Page. Next when I was 16 I saw my first real show at the Filmore East. Paul Butterfield Blues Band. I heard Elvin Bishop and I was a changed man (boy?) Then came Beck, J Winters all the way to SRV. Also saw a few Fleetwood Mac Blues Band Shows at the Filmore with Peter Green. I was hooked forever. Also since the 1970's I've been a very big Tom Waits fan. Met him once, great guy. Still love him.
What equipment do you use?
US Fender Strat 1995, US Fender Telecaster 1988, 1992 Martin HD28, 2 small Marshall practice amps. A 10 watt and a 15 watt. Boss pedal effects. Comp, Noise gate Chorus, DD20.
Anything else?
I lived and played in NYC from the late 60s to 1987. Dan Lynch's and another local club every week for the last few years. I met a lot of good people and got along with them just fine. All the great ones I've ever met were just like you and me. I moved upstate NY to the country with the love of my life, Andrea, my wife. Cows and Cornfields. I never missed NYC. It changed in a heartbeat. We met and fell in love while we working in The World Trade Center. When 9/11 happened, it killed us. All of our memories and all the pain. I'll never go back. Thank God for the Internet. I hope I bring some enjoyment to anyone that drops by. I love you all, Wayne Whiteside
