So here it is... I'm a 21 year old MC/rapper from Nottingham known by name Primo XS. I suppose you could say I didnt have the best start, I went through the usual childhood stuff like bullying and not fitting in at school. Then when I was 18 I was attacked twice in 2 months and ended up with a broken cheekbone and a broken nose. I'd struggled all my life and when I was 20 I found out why after being diagnosed with ADHD! I was determined to sort my life out once and for all but then at the end of last year the doctors found a lump in my neck... The first ultrasound scan came back inconclusive so after more tests they decided to operate. Half of my thyroid gland was removed and a couple of weeks later I found out the lump was pre cancerous so luckily they found it just in time! I didn't type that up as some heartbreaking story, just as a bit of background so you understand my songs abit better. You never know what lifes got in store but what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger! Anyway enough of that! On the music side of things I've been rapping for around 7 years but I didn't really start taking it seriouly til I was 17. I got into music production nearly 10 years ago and bought my first decks at 15 but over the years even though these 2 things are still a big part of me, my biggest love became the mic. It was the trance/techno scene of the late 90's that got me into music so even though I do hip-hop I'm still very much involved in the dance scene and am trying to get my name out there as a rave MC. When I started writing rhymes, due to the seriousness of some of the topics I was expressing I slowed things down abit and branched out to more urban genres keeping my uplifting lyrics for the rave. I've always written about things close to me as this is the reason I started writing lyrics, as a way of expressing myself...not just to be an MC. I've performed all across the midlands and done some quite high profile events such as Nottingham Pride where I performed to 10,000 people and the re-opening of the market square at an oper air show right in the city centre. I've also done interviews for BBC radio Nottingham and more recently for 1xtra. I'm not the stereotypical rapper, I'm just a normal girl from Notts with a love for music I want to share! I've had a few set backs but now I'm ready for anything and just hope people might get something out of my tracks!

Played at loads of events across the midlands, some quite hight profile but the best moment for me was probably when I got through to the Urban Growth finals.
