Jon Murray and Andy Stuckey met six years ago as NBC pages in New York City. Jon (6'4", 175lbs) hails from northern Vermont while Stuckey (5'10", 156lbs) is from southern Alabama. Although both of them are left-handed musicians, they differ in that Stuckey has diabetes and Murray doesn't.
Stuckey & Murray regularly perform in New York City venues such as The Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Knitting Factory, and Carolines on Broadway. They’ve also completed three short tours of colleges and cities along the east coast. They blend all styles of music with clever and sometimes improvised lyrics.
Stuckey & Murray have recorded two full-length albums with backing bands in Austin, TX and Brooklyn, NY. Destination: Rock Bottom and Mythical Fornication are both available at the itunes Music Store and www.stuckeyandmurray.com. Also on the website are two music videos for their songs Unicorn in C Major and Carson Daly. These videos have received a combined total of over 4 million hits.
Stuckey & Murray are currently producing their own web show, Playback, for NBC Digital Media. Check out completed episodes at www.dotcomedy.com. Stuckey & Murray have also been featured on The Discovery Channel, E!, VH1 and Fuse. They can be heard on Sirius Radio, National Lampoon radio, and morning radio across the country.
In other news, Stuckey won the 2000 Flora-Bama Mullet toss by throwing a dead fish 104 feet over the Alabama state line. Murray is “guitarded”; he plays a right-handed strung guitar, up-side-down.
