Listen to my sonical sketches. My perspectives of life, death, love, happiness, sacrifice, and all that makes us human. My tribute to those who have come before me and those I look up to. Follow me in my return to forever.
I've been playing and studying the guitar since I was 14 or 15 (1996 or 1997)but the biggest turning point for me was when I heard Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. Right then I decided to pursue my interest and love of music.
Primarily it was Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin and roughly at around the same time included Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Ritchie Blackmore. Then came Yngwie Malmsteen. Discovering Yngwie gave me a new perspective to look at with music, by way of neo-classical music and well developed technique. It was because of Yngwie that I have come to love classical music. Later on I have come to appreciate much and listen to Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. Then came John Petrucci which led me to a lot of new ways. Discovering John Petrucci lead me to Al Di Meola, Chick Corea, Allan Holdsworth, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Yes, Neil Peart (Rush), and Steve Morse. To roll it out the ones that have stuck in me the most thus far are Blues Saraceno, Scott Henderson, Marty Friedman, Danny Gatton, Jimi, Jimmy, SRV, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Jaco Pastorius, Guthrie Govan, Allan Holdsworth, Chuck Mangione, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, Brett Garsed, Shawn Lane, and Matthias Eklundh
