Ross Borden Biography As the son of the popular 40's vaudeville dance team billed as "The Borden's: The Nutmost in Dancing", Ross Borden's gift for acting, singing and comedy come as naturally as "The Sun Shining Over Broadway". Tremendously supported and encouraged by his successful parents, at the tender age of 8, Ross entered and won a national talent contest in New York City. Beating out more than 200 other capable and gifted children, this prestigious "win" elevated him to notoriety, eventually carrying him to numerous TV and stage appearances. He worked as an entertainer (singing, dancing and acting in a variety of mediums throughout his childhood and was officially signed by MGM Studios as a contract player at only 17 years of age!! Starting a family at only age 18, Ross entered into the profession of Dentistry, which he continued until fifteen years ago. Adding to his varied accomplishments, he also sang stints in Las Vegas, Tahoe, Reno and Seattle, appearing with such luninaries as Wayne Newton, Liberace, Don Rickles and Lous Prima. Ross was the featured act on the S.S. Catalina for three summer seasons. Award-winning record producer DAVID FOSTER says of Ross Borden's singing talent and his latest CD, Here's To Life and Love...."This is one of the best independently produced CD's I've ever heard. My wife & I have it in our car. It is one of the CD's we listen to all the time!" Later, the early 1980's brought Ross a lucrative television career, settling him on the West Coast. His incredible acting range, from comedy to drama, landed him leading roles in many top-rated programs including, "Falcon Crest", "General Hospital", The Youngt and the Restless", "Jake and the Fatman", "Hawaii 5-0", "Simon and Simon", the consistently Emmy-winning "Soap", and many others. Ross recently starred in "High Tide" and "Mike Hammer, Private Eye" and "Sliders". His highly praised film roles include "Dutch", and various comedy shows such as "Night Stand" and "Son of the Beach". Today, he enjoys travelling throughout the country entertaining for large corporate parties, conventions, prestigous condominium complex openings, hotels and nightclubs. He pleases large audiences as well as the small, cozy feel of a lounge or small nightclub. Ross is a guaranteed smash hit at any show he does and will delightfully make any audience feel totally fulfilled and entertained! During his act, he conducts intimate tributes to Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis Jr. that emote excitement and passion and a depth within every crowd mesmerized by the warmth of his entertaining. Have you performed in front of an audience?
Whenever I can. I like to perform in all avenues of entertainment. I especially liked one show I did on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. It was so romantic.
