Riders

guitar jam inspired by the doors music, Robbie Krugar in particular.
These recordings represent the various musical endeavors that I've gone through since the 1970's to present day. Some are good quality and some not so great but are from old cassette recordings that i converted to mp3 and mp4 format to at least preserve them (for who i'm not sure)....anyway, at the heart of the matter, these are just honest recordings, my story is in a bit of each recording here. Thanks for taking the time to listen.
Band/artist history
Me, myself and I, have played in bands since the sixties....starting with the BUTTERSCOTCH WATERMELON, and FALLOUT out of Southern California then played the Hollywood Showcase scene for original bands during the Seventies and eightees at venues like, Gazzarris, Club 88 ect. and Eightees with first the Atlantic Crossing Band and then various short lived projects ranging from surf/blues and rock bands to blues outfits such as The Turbines......I worked in the last days of Vynal records doing matrix for Soundome records in Irvine California and some A&R work in Las Vegas in the 90's. Began solo recording and writing projects, and now play with 2 different bands as well as my own solo orginal storys with music and sound fx added to the storyline.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live in the monterey county area but have lately been working on recording projects that seem to take all my time.
Your musical influences
These are the people I can remember starting with the first throughout my life who have made me stop and listen and say...."Yea, that's what I'm talking about".... the guitar licks in "El Paso by Marty Robbins, Louis Armstrong, Stephen Stills, Brian Wilson, Dick Dale,.The Beatles/ of course....Jimi Hendrix, Alan Wilson, Sky Saxon from the Seeds Eric Burdon....Doc Watson....Johnny Winter....Steve Cropper....Leo Kotke.....Howlin Wolf....John Lurie and last but not least Tom Waits.
What equipment do you use?
Whatever is handy and still works....love my strats the Fender and G&L....they just feel right most of the time and will take the pepsi challenge with any other guitar anytime anywhere.
Anything else?
I'd just like to say, if you've made it this far and are still reading, that I hope your life is true and that all experiences you have with music/art/literature.....all things creative, all things spiritual and human....that you always keep an open mind for change and new ideas because it all moves so quickly and disappears.....grab it while you can and hold it close because one moment less than this is future nothingness already.....Keep smiling through the horrific mess man has made and don't forget to boogie.
