Bedroom pop with spiky guitars and homemade synth sounds. Experimenting with combining a more organic acoustic sound with electronica at the moment, but style can change without warning. If it sounds good, it is good.Band/artist history
Began recording as Ballard in 98/99. Only recently have I seriously considered doing this for real but I'll keep plugging away. First thing is to find a drummer!Have you performed in front of an audience? Not yet. Many special moments though, usually when I've finished recording a new track.
Your musical influences
XTC, The Kinks, Bowie, Pulp, Supergrass, Ladytron, Todd Rundgren, Ash, The Wannadies, ABBA, Pink Floyd...What equipment do you use?
Music 2000 for Playstation! Child's Casio keyboard circa 1986. Fender Jaguar, Rickenbacker 4001, Roland VS-880 and Cool Edit Pro. Well that was up until a couple of months ago! I'm now up with the big boys and recording on ProTools LE with a Digi002. I've still got the VS-880 but I've no idea if I'll hang on to it. Cool Edit Pro gets used occasionaly for the odd DX plug-in, but it's really ProTools all the way. It's completely changed the way I work as can be heard in Bee compared to Loving Her In Vain.steve i's station

Thanks for that Spud. I'd never considered that until you mentioned it - I'm grinning now! Of course, Todd's a genius and I am a mere mortal, but I'm working on it ;-)
