I'm not some musical wanker who shows off his skills in hopes of impressing people.. I do what I do... better than some, but not as well as many more..
I have been playing guitar around 4-5 years.. mostly by myself..I can play most styles of music on guitar to an extent, for what its worth I've been told I am good at writing interesting hooks, and lyrics.
I also am just starting to learn to play the Drums.. in hopes it will help with songwriting, and help me overall as a musician. If you hear me sing.. keep in mind I'm not a singer.. and there are few songs that I can sing decently in.. that as well is something I am working onBand/artist history
Bad Alchemy was a band I had formed in Salisbury Maryland in 2001 with some friends, but they decided persue other things.
Left with no band, and the massive shortage of Drummers in Salisbury Maryland, I decided to just record things on my own.. my own music, solo covers.. but there wasn't enough drive to do this on my own.. who would want to listen to a solo act? I needed a band!
So i was sitting on the toilet one day, and Santana comes on the radio.. "Put your Lights on".. good song.. then it hit me.. why can't I be like Santana? collaborate with other Bands and Musicians to preform and record music that i have written.. it is a vessel to get my own name and music out to the public, along with other bands that want exposure.
I made up my mind.. in 2005 i would write my music and call the project "Bad Alchemy".. I felt I could do this so begins Brian's Journey to rock music..Have you performed in front of an audience?on my own and my own songs? no i don't.. i'v been known to make an appearance now and then in my friend's band when they play. (thats where the picture on my info's from)
Your musical influences
in terms of how i play? i'd have to say Pete Townshend, Mark Knopfler, and Jerry Cantrell have had major influence. Lyrics, im not sure i can't pinpoint any influences.What equipment do you use?
