Check, Check......My name is backtrak...I am a new solo artist coming from a town called Akron in Ohio. Dance music is my life and my ultimate skill. Listeners may find that my tracks are upbeat, at times haunting or flavorful, or just plain "cruise in the whip and listen-music"
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I really don't have any history, as i am about as new as anyone can imagine
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Since i'm relatively unknown, I have not yet been able to find a suitible outlet to put my vision out through live performances
Your musical influences
I love Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Depeche Mode, Coldplay, N.E.R.D, U2, and all forms of Rap.
I also credit Kylie Minogue as being one of the most influential(to me)dance artists that have ever hit the club music scene.
What equipment do you use?
Fruity Loops 5,Cakewalk Homestudio, and an AudioTechnica AT-PL50 turntable for occasional track sampling
Anything else?
Dance and Electronica alike run through me like
fire and once I hear the rhythm in my head...theres no getting rid of it until I hear it through my headphones...completed and never duplicated
