2003 in a Parisian "flea market", I bought for 2 euros? 2 francs? one old south American pan-pipes . But the small strings linking the tubes did not resist very long to his first musical experiments. Tubes were put in a bag and forgotten for a time. One year after, pushed by curiosity and lead by a strange mystical energy, I took back its pipes to reassemble in Romanian style (in line). I Blowed in this tubes to try, his first breath involved an interior mystical revolution. It was a magic flute.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not. All of the musics. I play live with myself in my home studio. But recorded in an acoustic way, tracks by track. But in the future it is possible that I play live with people. I am every time open with to a new experiments.
Your musical influences
In this series, Gyorgy Zamphir and especially his album for "panpipes and organ, for me the best Zamfir record. Here the organ is replaced by the virtual instruments
On the 70's, I saw the great King Zamfir on TV. That gave me idea much later to blow in tubes.
Young teenager, my two preferred albums was My Life in the Bush of Ghosts by Brian Eno and David Byrne and Seventeen second by The Cure. My tastes since diversified in funk with the folk and other electronic music.
But I am not very rock & roll, except the rare days or I drank one or more beers. But most important which influenced me they are alls the music of my street. Living in the middle of different people, was many kinds of music, Arab, African music especially. I like the Japanese and Chinese movies whose music have certainly to influence me.
Also the clasical music and contemporary Western, but when I play of the music, I try to forget all that. I play with no intentions to do this or that. Like meditation: emptiness. Maybe the music would exist in some part of on the air waiting the time to appears and I try to be a can of simple antennaWhat equipment do you use?
Years a go, Two old but so friendly computers Macintosh and PC. One midi keyboard. Free vst instruments downloaded on Internet and free software.
My magic panpipes designed by my self with 14 tubes from south American origin but gathered at the Rumanian manner. But the long tubes starting from the left such the pianos.Admin
