AvantGuarde
Powerful. Upbeat. Energetic. Inspired. These words described Maryland rock band AvantGuardes debut album in 2005. Now AvantGuarde brings new meaning to these terms with a new lineup and even more new music. New member Marcus Jackson assumes drum duties while the addition of saxophone and backup singers rounds out the group for vibrant live performances. The harmonies, melodies, and playing wizardry that AvantGuarde is known for are back in spades with new songs such as Ready To Live, Lay It Down, and Genesis. AvantGuarde has planned the release of their follow-up album for 2008.
AvantGuarde continues to pursue their passion for life and the positive spirit. Having spent the last two years dealing with heavy personal events, the new music reflects the will, the struggle, and the faith ever present in the band and those around them. AvantGuardes mission to inspire, encourage, and entertain continues to unite the band as they move forward in their musical journey.
Influences ranging from Bruce Hornsby, Dave Mathews, and Peter Gabriel to Van Halen, and Queen can be heard against a musical palette that displays a touch of jazz, classical, and gospel sounds. AvantGuardes unique sonic blend is topped off with a generous mix of spontaneity and live musical improvisation that never ceases to entertain audiences.
AvantGuarde now poses a new question to audiences as they deliver their powerful and uplifting musical displays:
