AVACATE NEW ALBUM: GHOST OF FORMER SELFBand/artist history
Dub/dance rock act Avacate was formed in Bristol England 2006, forging a unique sound by soaking up many of the bright, bizarre sounds, colours and cultural influences the city has to offer. Their music is a mash up of the underground culture taking you on a journey through rock, DnB, dub and hip-hop tinged with psychedelic over tones. They have risen from its exhilarating music scene. Avacateâ„s live shows are well known to get everybody dancing and losing their minds in the music, there is lots of theatrical on-stage energy and the band has their own visuals/light show that enhances the audiences experience. German fanzine InselZound affectionately dubbed the band a 'Punk Pink Floyd' you can dance to.
If you would like to remix the band then please check out the homepage where everyone can download and remix/mash up the songs and post them back up to discuss and interact with other users. The best remixes will be considered for future releases in the experimentated E.P collection, not only producers are invited. We are looking for interaction with every art form out there, if its poetry or film or anything, everyone is invited to get in touch and transform our musicìŒ.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, England Germany, Denmark, England....playing a show at a womans prison in Germany

Just great.
Busy hats and furous riffs!
Unusual rhythm, somewhere between the Cardiacs and early XTC. Again frantic and fantastic performance. Production exposes vision.
A hair raising number. Intense and demanding. The vocal processing is creative and effect. The accending riff certainly draws attention. The drums are on overload on this one :-)
Driving metallic pulse leads into ambient vocal groove. Veracious performance with sensitive dynamics and intelligent production!
