Austin County Ambush
Autin County Ambush is a fluid collection of pickers and singers headquartered in Kenney, TX. We're all members of the Kenney Area Rural Music Association (KARMA). At the Kenney Store we usually perform seated in a big circle and what goes around, comes around.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The weekly Kenney Store jam has been going on for about two years. It's an offshoot of one in Cochran, TX, that's mostly bluegrass. Ours is more traditional '50s and '60s country with some old cowboy tunes and an occasional southern hymn thrown in.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play each Thursday night at the Kenney Store.
Stop by, have a beer.
