Aural B
Be prepared for some Aural Pleasures.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
As a teen I use to take various beats from tapes, record onto another tape, pause, record it again, pause, record it again, pause, record it again, pause, record it again, pause, Stop, listen, hope that at least 2 of the loops would go together well, take the longest continuous loop that didn't sound too chopped, record onto another tape, pause, record it again, you get the picture? Then I'd try singin' or rappin o'er top. It was a fun waste of time. Now I waste my time makin' my own beats.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
One time, I ran into Snuffy and he tried eatin my head and I was like "Yo! It ain't cabbage!"
Your musical influences
MUSIC. All of it. Everything from movie scores I.E. John Carpenter to children's stories to Atmosphere to Deftones to Rolling Stones. Been digging that Muddy Waters lately. I just love finding new-old music.
What equipment do you use?
ASRX, my IMAC, this little toy apple that makes a jingling sound, it's weird, radio shaq sampler from the 80's for that classic horror synth sound, etc.
Anything else?
Brush ya teeth!
