We are Aubyn and Amanda!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We've been playing together for 3 years is school bands and our own independent groups such as SGO. We've been playing together in this setting for about 5 months.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We haven't played live together with this group. However, we have played live together with SGO and school jazz ensembles. We've played at many local restaraunts along with many town fairs and festivals. Our biggest gig was with the SGO when we played at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. That was fun. I think the best part of music is performing live. It gives us a great opportunity to share what we love with lots of people and we hope they begin to love and appreciate what we do as well.
Your musical influences
We both have a great deal of musical influences ranging from jazz to pop and blues to country. To list them would take for ever. Some of our favorites are the Beatles, Tori Amos, Herbie Hancock, Etta James, Elliot Smith, Duncan Sheik, Matchbox 20, Talking Heads, Norah Jones, Charlie Parker, and Fiona Apple.
What equipment do you use?
The equipment we use are piano, bass, amplifiers, and microphones.
Anything else?
Nothing else.
