Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
DJ Selo performs live mix sets on air at KBOL radio 100.1 FM, on his underground mixshow, Friday Nite Rec, as well as on Mon, Tues, & Sat.,as well as producing tracks for various artists. DJ ARock spins at the clubs and holds down the party joints in NC.
Your musical influences
How much time do we have? Roy Ayers, Les McCann, Eddie Harris, Patrice Rushen, Donald Byrd and The Blackbyrds, Gil Scott-Heron, Cal Tjader, Cannonball Adderly, Flora Purim and Airto Moreira, Ahmad Jamal, David Axelrod, and Don Blackman, to name a few. And then there's those that inspired me in the hip hop industry comin' up like Ultramagnetic, Primo, Premiere, Lg. Professor, Pete Rock, Marley Marl, Eric B. and Rakim, Jazzy Jeff, even Spinna's bringin' balance.
What equipment do you use?
First and foremost, the SP1200, naturally the MPC60 and 3000, there's the s950 and s1000, a set of 1200's, keyboards & misc., & the studio setup.
