attic base is the new revolution of synth pop. Action is an album that is enjoyable to listen to from start to finish; there are no filler songs. If you like our style (everyone who is cool likes us) then you will love this record. Our sound is forward thinking; we use technology but don't rely on it. We have not forgotten about the song; the instrumentation supports the song. Attic base provides a rich tapestry of electronics and vocals that weaves a musical cohesiveness like no other.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Until rescently, attic base has been primarily a hobby for brothers Matt and Mike Burton; after receiving nothing but positive feedback, we figured we must be doing something right, so we put the show on the road. We had some good live experiences and brought to the family vocalist/songwriter, Melissa Mello. The three of us are passionate about our music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
While playing live in Fresno, CA, we noticed that our sound guy was nowhere to be found. We were about to go on, when a stranger walked up and asked if we needed anything. We told him that we needed a sound engineer. He said "Well hear I am, I am your man, I used to do this sort of thing in college." We were touched by an angel; he did a killer job!
