Elements that mark astroboy music include ethereal soundscapes, drones and beautiful melodies put to beats. Older material also features lots of dissonance and tape manipulated noise in places.
The astro boy sound is all about manipulation. Creating music you can get lost in and zone out to. Music you can feel. Astro boy is the soundtrack to your daydreams.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started in 1999 with a modest set up comprising of a few old keyboards, guitar effects and a 4-track. These seemingly limited tools forced me to use my imagination.
I now have a more 'traditional', computer-based setup.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Played in Aldeburgh, Roughham, Colchester, Norwich, Ipswich and Bristol.
