Psychedelic Rock

Astro Al is a B sci-fi/horror movie soundtrack. We are the psychedelic that your government doesn't want you to experiment with. People often ask us how to describe what we do... How do you describe the cosmos, emptiness, and stupidity? We are the Ed Wood of bands. We try to be fun, funny, serious, and seriously tragic all at the same time.
Band/artist history
when the great riot took place at the intergalactic cinema we were banished to this planet. so here you go. we are a melting wave of zen fu. we are a flower power burning in your brain stem. we are nothing and everything just like you. come and become with us.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
sure from time to time. we play gigs wherever people will let us when we're up for it. as for special moments the free cheese plate we got at the last gig comes to mind. also using our tunes to help raise money to help other folks is really cool. when that perfect imperfect moment arises and everything clicks in a way you never expected is way cool.
Your musical influences
hawkwind, robyn hitchcock, jim croce, monty python, nik turner, william shatner, hammer horror movies, japanese monster movies, old pink floyd, ed wood movies, harry chapin, tangerine dream
What equipment do you use?
guitars, synths, mandolin, saz, theremin, programs, samples, turntables, whatever we feel like using to make sounds with.
Anything else?
we hope you dig it. if you don't well go find something you do like and enjoy it.
