ASTRID SITE

Just as fire forges steel, learning from struggles makes us stronger and wiser. Astrid is a living example of this truth. The young talented beauty has overcome depression, suicide and family breakdowns at a young age, and is now undeniably destined for stardom. At the young age of thirteen, in Houston, TX, she began singing in church services hosted by the popular hustler-turned-evangelist known as Levi. Levi had a vision to create a new kind of music that would bring peace to the hearts of young men and women living the "street life". So he started up Street Life Worldwide Entertainment Group, and at the age of fifteen, Astrid became one of the first acts signed to the label. For the past five years, Astrid has been singing professionally. She has also toured nationally with a stageplay, and she recently made her feature film debut in PAIN, a movie that will be distributed nationally and internationally in 2005. Astrid has been using her gift to bring smiles to the faces of people in both the highest and lowest places. She has performed in clubs, churches, schools, jails, bootcamps, carshows, blockparties, professional parties, the list goes on. And to top off, Astrid is also bilingual, fully fluent in Spanish. With a production team lead by platinum selling producer Crazy C, Astrids music has the quality and diversity to grab the ears of all types of listeners. Her melodic and soulful voice stretches across the spectrum, gently riding the rhythms of ballads and, at other times, singing hard-edged vocals over hip hop beats. Her CD also contains influences of jazz, gospel and even salsa. When it comes to live performances, Astrid shines as well as she does on her CD. No studio tricks here. With her live band, Astrid delivers a powerful performance, overflowing with energy, passion, emotion and quality entertainment. Her musical diversity on stage has captivated lovers of soul, Hip Hop, R&B, jazz, salsa, gospel and even rock. Astrid is a complete artist that will be touching the ears and hearts of people worldwide. Be on the lookout ---
