Ashley popped out of her mom's belly on a hot summer day, and Nathan's mom squirted him out later that August. The two met in elementary school where they proceeded to become friends and get teased together. Nathan was Hanson's biggest fan at one point in time. Or maybe that was Ashley. Who can remember? So in middle school, Ashley was smelly and Nathan was a band geek. Ashley moved away after 8th grade but then came back later on in the year, and Nathan has been reading Ashley his suicidal poetry ever since.
