In September of 2005, A Simple Disaster was formed by Zephyr Goza and Wylie Kuhn, who met beating up small animals and children with their guitars. Then they realized they could theoretically make that sound like music and decided to start a band. One day they were both in a CD store and saw Daniel Wilcox. When the store clerk overcharged Daniel for a CD, Daniel promptly began banging the clerks head on the counter in a rhythmic fashion, which led Zephyr and Wylie to believe that Daniel would make an excellent drummer. Later that day, Wylie and Zephyr were walking down the street when they saw a kid running from a mob of naked and heavily armed midgets. They saved him by running all the midgets over with a hot dog truck. Thus Noah Swanson joined the band as bass player and resident midget expert. After they all practiced together, they realized that they would need a highly qualified manager to help them book shows and get them prostitutes on the weekends. So of course, they recruited the least qualified person available, and Cassia Gordon came on as the bands manager. After a year and a half of writing music in Daniel's basement, frequent Dr. Pepper highs and non-consensual sex, the band is ready to tour and play music to the world, or maybe just that mob of naked midgets. "YOU guys ROCK, man. With great politically-aware lyrics and a kicka$$ sound you are a force to be reckoned with for sure. So hurry up with that 'Hated Nation' CD!" --Darryl Ekt aka Stink! From the Rotters. They recorded an EP in 2006. They record with DAS WAR STUDIOS www.myspace.com/daswar
Have you performed in front of an audience?
YES! We try to play live as much as possible. We love playing live.
