Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Vancouver British Columbia native Ashleigh Robinson, a 21-year-old singer, songwriter and performer discovered her voice and a love for music at an early age. At 12 she was activley singing, performing and continued to throughout her schooling. After graduating Ashleigh started to create her own lyrics which she performed at local venues. Her performances recieved positive feed back siting, "Explosive Potential!".
Ashleigh has since evolved as a strong vocalist/rapper building a name for herself in the lower mainland as a performer with confidence and style. She draws her inspiration from the unique styles of artists Eve, Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige, and Lauryn Hill.
Ashleigh's focus and determination, reflect her attitude and personality "Tough, Cocky, Ambitious, but still down to Earth". Ashleigh has been working with Vancouver based producer SPM, and with the help of a FACTOR grant, they've released the three song debut, "She Real". Ashleigh is now maturing into a sound that allows her talents as a singer and MC to shine through.
Ashleigh's inspirational message and the drive to make it happen, has this girl coming on strong !
