Asdf is the 'brainchild' of some high-school geek with a few instruments, a 4-track cassette recorder and too much time on his hands.
Asdf is not for the faint of heart.
Band/artist history
One day, said high-school geek began chanting out random phrases to a simple guitar riff. Then, he got on his computer and made a drum track. He decided it was good, and thus Asdf was born.

Anything else?
Asdf is a whole new branch of rock, specifically, cantankerous garage semi-locore disaffected proto-rock. Or something of the sort.
