Hi, I'm Take One, the unofficial music producer who's gone through more names than Live Aid. Fortunately, I have now settled on this name, but previously, I went by two names which you have probably already read by now: Dj Dragon, which I used for general music production and copyright, and, of course, Take One, for when I freelanced for some people's mixtapes, or when I wanted to sound cool. My history in music creation is a long story, but I can't be bothered to type it up right now. Perhaps I will when I have more time.
I'm open for business. Read the news item above, and, if you can't use the contact link on the left of the page, drop me a line at take1ne@live.co.uk instead.
I've only ever played in a couple of music academy concerts for piano and electronic keyboard, in which students from the music college played songs from their grade (I play the electronic keyboard). The only things particularly special were the student compositions.
Alexander Brandon and Michiel Van Den Bos, who wrote the soundtrack for Unreal by Epic Games, are two of my favourite artists. Almost everything I write is influenced by them in some way. One of my favourite bands is Jamiroquai, and they influence my dance music greatly (although I've never made anything quite like theirs). Also, Bobby Brown goes in the dance section. Otherwise, I'm inspired by many other random things I hear.
FL Studio 8, my Yamaha PSR 640 electronic keyboard with an M-Audio Midisport USB interface and the good, old-fashioned keyboard and mouse.
I tend to work in almost every musical style I can think of, so, in the 'genre' selection, I just chose the area I work in most.
