Urban Plantation
1 Track
Bilingual Urban Latino hip hop, strong lyrical stories painted on a latin canvas of beats and rhythms collected in our urban plantations.
Each day a new expression of latino voices grows stronger inside our Urban Plantations. Manifested out of frustration, Urban Plantation expresses the strength of hip hops influence on the myriad of latino communities around the globe. Different by cultures yet united in rhythm. Urban Plantation is a proud representative of the latino common denominator; Hip Hop.
Band/artist history
Founded by New Yorks Lower Eastside artist/producer Erick 3D Santos, Urban Plantation began in 2003 as a conceptual group consisting of a collection of artist and producers from different places. Recording in the Dominican Republic, New York, Puerto Rico and Miami Urban Plantation brings simple structure to a latin urbano flow. In 2004, recording began in late June. The album Spictacular: Volume Loud released March 2005 is a result of the body of music created in this groups eclectic sessions. Stories exploring the observations of our Urban Latino life, make for uplifting and sometimes dark reminders of who we are in the world we live in.
