Paul has been playing guitar for over 30 years and is the creator of the popular acoustic web site . His style of music ranges from contemporary fingerstyle to acoustic blues to acoustic folk.
You can sometimes find Paul playing in the southeastern Wisconsin area. His favorite venue is the Cafe Carpe in Ft. Atkinson WI.
Paul's early musical influence came from players like John Fayey and Leo Kottke. These are the guys that got him into playing acoustic guitar and fingerstyle. But later in life, he was strongly influenced by the music, arrangements, and compositions of players like Mike Dowling, Pat Donohue, and Tommy Emmanuel
Paul has 11 instruments and uses a wide range of different pickups in them. Most have at least two pickup sources that are brought out separately and blended. His favorite combination is a Rare Earth blender with a K&K SBT. He has this system in his Robertson 7-string and his Froggy Bottom K. His Langejans RGC has the B-band A4 built in. His DonMo resonators use McIntyre feather pickups.
